**These Terms govern your use of privateboatkomodo.com and any private whole-boat charter you book through Komodo Privé. By requesting a quote, paying a deposit, or joining a trip, you agree to them. Private boats are priced per boat and fulfilled directly by Komodo Luxury, the licensed operator; park, ranger, and sunset fees are paid separately per person in cash.**
Last updated: 2026. These Terms are current as of 2026 and may be revised without prior notice. The version in force is the one published on this page at the time you confirm your booking. If anything here conflicts with a written confirmation issued by the Komodo Luxury reservations team, the written confirmation for your specific trip prevails.
Who are you contracting with?
Komodo Privé is a booking brand of Juara Holding Group, the site publisher. When you charter a private boat, your trip is arranged and fulfilled by Komodo Luxury, a real, award-winning tour operator founded in 2015 and based in Labuan Bajo, Flores. Bookings are handled directly by the Komodo Luxury reservations team — there is no third-party middleman between you and the operator.
Komodo Privé and Komodo Luxury do not own the Komodo National Park, its islands, its ranger service, or the park-fee system. The park is managed by Balai Taman Nasional Komodo (BTN Komodo) under the Directorate General of Natural Resources and Ecosystem Conservation (Ditjen KSDAE), Ministry of Environment and Forestry. Park rules, opening status, and fees are set by those authorities, not by us, and can change without notice.
We are a tour operator and concierge, not a licensed financial, legal, tax, or medical adviser. Nothing on this website is professional advice of that kind.
What does a private charter include?
A private whole-boat charter is sold per boat by group-size tier (for example 1–4, 5–8, or 9–11 guests), for your party only — no strangers share your vessel. Vessels typically carry up to about 15 guests.
Unless your written confirmation says otherwise, the per-boat price covers:
- The vessel, fuel, and licensed crew for the agreed itinerary and duration
- Meals, drinking water, and snorkeling gear on most packages
The per-boat price does not cover the following, which are billed separately:

How much are the park fees, and why aren’t they in the boat price?
Park-related charges are collected by the park, not by the operator, so they sit outside the boat price and are always paid in cash. Amounts differ by nationality, trip length, island, activity, and whether it is a weekday or weekend. According to SeekSophie’s January 2026 update, foreign and KITAS-holder visitors pay IDR 250,000 per person for a one-day trip and IDR 650,000 per person for a 3D2N trip, while Indonesian nationals pay IDR 150,000 (one day) and IDR 350,000 (3D2N). Diving activities cost more, and weekends cost more than weekdays.
Individual operators itemise these fees differently. Green Rinjani, for example, lists its 3D2N as excluding a Komodo National Park entrance fee of IDR 650,000 per person plus a tentative Kalong Island sunset fee of IDR 250,000 per person. A Viator day trip excludes a park entrance fee of IDR 500,000 per person and ranger fees for Padar and Komodo of IDR 360,000 per booking. Credit cards are not accepted for park fees. Bring enough IDR in cash. All figures above are as of 2026 and subject to change without notice by the park authorities.
Why can per-boat prices change?
Charter pricing moves with season, group size, fuel, and vessel availability. High season (May to September) brings calm seas, peak demand, and higher prices; low season (October to April) is cheaper but wetter and rougher. To show you the range you can expect, published market rates as of 2026 include:

Click&Boat aggregate data puts the average Komodo boat rental at about USD 1,023 per day, ranging from roughly USD 154 to USD 2,478, with high-season averaging about USD 2,462 and low-season about USD 230. These are third-party market references, not Komodo Privé quotes. The only price binding on your booking is the per-boat figure written in your confirmation from the Komodo Luxury reservations team. A quote is an estimate until confirmed in writing; once confirmed, the agreed per-boat price for your dates and group is held for that booking.
How do deposits and payment work?
To secure your date and vessel, a deposit is required at booking; the balance is due before departure, on the schedule stated in your confirmation. Your booking is only confirmed once the deposit is received and the reservations team issues a written confirmation. Payment methods, currency, and deposit percentage are set out in that confirmation. Park, ranger, and sunset fees are settled separately in cash, as described above, and are never part of any online or deposit payment to us.
What happens if the weather turns?
Komodo waters can become unsafe, especially in low season. The captain and operator may delay, shorten, reroute, or cancel a trip when weather, sea state, park closures, or authority instructions make it unsafe — safety decisions rest with the crew and are final. If a trip is cancelled by the operator for weather or safety, we will offer, where possible:
- A reschedule to the next mutually available date, or
- A rerouted itinerary of comparable value, or
- A refund of the boat portion in line with your written booking terms
We are not liable for costs outside our control that a weather change may cause — flights, hotels, or connecting transport. We strongly recommend independent travel insurance covering weather disruption and medical evacuation.
What are the cancellation and rescheduling rules if you cancel?
Cancellation and rescheduling terms, including any non-refundable portion of your deposit, are stated in your written confirmation and depend on how far in advance you notify us. Because private vessels are held exclusively for your party, late cancellations carry higher charges. Park, ranger, and sunset fees are never charged if you do not travel, since they are paid on the day, in cash, only when you enter the park.
What are the limits on our liability?
You join a private boat trip in a marine national park at your own risk and are responsible for your own health, fitness, and conduct, and for following crew instructions. To the fullest extent permitted by Indonesian law, Komodo Privé, Juara Holding Group, and Komodo Luxury are not liable for personal injury, loss, or damage arising from natural conditions, wildlife encounters, your own acts, or matters beyond our reasonable control, and our total liability for any booking will not exceed the boat amount you paid to us for that booking. We make no guaranteed outcomes — no promise of specific wildlife sightings (including Komodo dragons or manta rays at Manta Point), weather, sea conditions, or itinerary completion at Padar, Pink Beach, Taka Makassar, Rinca, Kanawa, Kelor, Gili Lawa, or Kalong Island. Komodo National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with protected wildlife; conditions are natural and cannot be promised. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Indonesian law.
How do we handle your personal data?
We collect only the data needed to quote and run your trip — name, contact details, party size, dates, and payment information — and we process it under Indonesia’s Personal Data Protection Law, Undang-Undang No. 27 Tahun 2022 (UU PDP). For visitors from the European Union or United Kingdom, we handle your data with awareness of the GDPR: we process it lawfully, keep it only as long as needed for your booking and legal record-keeping, and do not sell it. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at the details below, subject to legal retention requirements. Because most enquiries reach us via WhatsApp and email, messages you send through those channels are handled under those platforms’ own privacy terms in addition to ours.
